Kick-off social activity
Since 2015, Terumo has relied on us to shape the team-building part of their annual Kick-off Meetings. Each year, we design original activities that strengthen cohesion, balance creativity with practicality, and remain close to the meeting venue.
The story:
Each kick-off meeting includes a carefully designed team-building experience that must be original and engaging, focused on team spirit, completed in less than an hour and a half, located near the meeting venue, and budget-friendly.
With these objectives in mind, we designed a soapbox race on a private go-kart track. The activity included a creative workshop to accessorise the soapboxes, a puzzle to solve to determine the starting positions, and brainstorming to define strategic rotations (drivers, pushers, supporters).
Planning and safety testing were integrated from the outset. We developed comprehensive risk management plans, took measures in case of inclement weather, identified a traffic-free location that met safety standards, obtained local permits, and installed professional barriers and signage. Thorough testing ensured that everything was working properly. On the day of the event, dedicated first aid and refreshment stations were available to provide assistance to everyone.
The afternoon ended with an awards ceremony celebrating multiple categories of winners, giving each team a fair chance to be recognised.
